Fort Thompson’s roots go all the way back to 1931 when C.B. Thompson Jr.’s father, Clyde (C.B.) Thompson, opened a grocery and hardware store in North Little Rock. In this very grocery store, C.B. Thompson sold guns and ammunition out of his back storeroom.
